The first useful move I learned was the Dime Stop. If you want to impress a random audience, the Dime Stop is a great addition to your dance. However, Dime Stop is a move without strict rules; you can do it in any direction you want!

  • Basic

A simple rule for Dime stop:

MOVE, STOP.

MOVE,STOP.

MOVE,STOP.

  • Tips

  • Make every move as 'clean' as possible. What is clean here? basically, you need to allow audiences easily guess what you will do next if you didn't stop. Therefore, the moves that are slow, continuous, and monotonous, like a 'translation' or 'single direction rotation', are easiler for audiences to guess.

  • Do it with pop. Using 'pop' in Dime stop will make audiences feel like time stopped. Control your muscle.

  • Follow the music. Dime stop need to stop with the beat. Do not move when the beat hit you, them the stop do not correspond with the hit.

  • Crazily cool examples and variations:
